Pay attention! Canada's ISED Spectra system will be temporarily shut down for five days

      Author:中認聯科 time:2023-09-26 Ctr:1506

Canada's ISED Spectra system will be shut down for five days from Thursday 21 September 2023 (morning) for an important update. Canadian certificates cannot be issued during the shutdown.

      Spectra server down time

Thursday, September 21 (morning) - Monday, September 25, 2023 (evening) (Eastern Time).

Answers to questions about the shutdown period of the ISED Spectra system

      1. Are REL and other database functions (company search, lab search) available during this period?

During the shutdown, all database features will be unavailable except for the approved CBs and Lab search functions, including tools such as Corporate Search, REL and TAR search tools.

      2. For applications submitted to the Spectra Web that are shown as "approved" (i.e. have completed the ISED internal review) and have a delayed REL list, will these devices be listed on the REL as expected?

      3. For applications submitted to Spectra Web prior to closure, will they be reviewed during the closure of Spectra Web if an internal review is under way at ISED or has not been allocated?

◆ The system will be shut down. During this time, Spectra Web and the internal interface to Spectra used by ISED for review and approval are unavailable.

◆ Submitted applications that have not completed internal review by ISED prior to system shutdown will be temporarily put on hold during system shutdown. The internal review will resume once Spectra is back online.

      4. For applications submitted to Spectra Web prior to closure, which are under internal review by ISED or have not yet been allocated, will these applications be listed on the REL if the review is completed by ISED at the time Spectra Web is closed or not completed until Spectra Web is restored?

Applications submitted to Spectra prior to system shutdown will be listed in REL prior to system shutdown if an internal ISED review has been completed and the application meets the requirements. However, since REL is unavailable during a system shutdown, this column name is also unavailable during this period. Once REL is back online, the list will be available again.

Applications submitted to Spectra prior to system shutdown will be put on hold during system shutdown if the internal review of ISED cannot be completed prior to system shutdown. Once Spectra is back online, ISED's internal review will resume and REL listing will be conducted upon completion of the ISED review.

      Warm tips

The sudden closure of the IC Spectra system database will certainly cause delays in Canadian forensics. ZRLK will keep in touch with CB, the Canadian issuing unit, and will inform CB to issue the certificate as soon as possible once the maintenance is completed. If you would like to know more about the requirements of the Canadian ISED certification or have a product that requires the Canadian ISED certification, please feel free to contact us and our engineers will be at your service in the first place!
