On June 24th, 2022, TISI of Thailand issued a new standard TIS 62368 Part 1-2563, which replaced the old standard TIS 1195-2536, and at the same time expanded the scope of certified products. On the basis of the 19 compulsory certified products of the old standard, a new one was added, and the mobile phone/tablet charger was included in the compulsory certification of TISI. The mandatory effective date is October 17, 2023.

Special reminder
1. TISI certification does not accept CB transfer certificate, but providing corresponding model CB report is helpful for quick review and acceptance of parts list.
2. TISI certification needs to provide local actual importers in Thailand, with Thai importers as certificate holders. If the importer of similar products changes, the factory remains unchanged or the product remains unchanged, it is still necessary to reschedule the factory inspection.
3. Most mobile phone/tablet chargers are plug-in power supplies, and the pins should meet the size requirements of Thai plug standard TIS 166-2549.
4. The special requirement of TISI certification for label is to put QR code, which normally needs to be applied on the website of E-LICENSE System after TISI completes the certification. ZRLK testing can assist Thai importers to apply for QR Code.
From October 17, 2023, mobile phones or tablet chargers entering the Thai market must have TISI certification. At present, most manufacturers of mobile phones or flat-panel chargers have been racing against time to arrange the TISI test, in order to get the TISI certificate in the first batch on October 17, the mandatory start date, and seize the Thai market.
